In this guide, we'll walk through how to link your Google-based email to Mailivery in just a few easy steps. By adding two-factor authentication, generating an app password, and enabling IMAP, you can securely connect your Gmail or Google Workspace account.

Step 1: From your Mailivery dashboard, click on the "Add Email Account" button found on the right-hand side.

Step 2: Select "Google" from the email provider options.

Step 3: Fill out your Gmail / Gsuite / Google Workspace credentials. Ensure that two-factor authentication, app password, and IMAP settings are enabled.

Step 3.1: Enable IMAP access for your Google account:

  • Go to the settings page from your Gmail or Gsuite account.
  • Go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  • Scroll down to IMAP Access section and select Enable IMAP.

Step 3.2: Enable two-factor authentication:

  • Go to your Google Account.
  • Select Security.
  • Under "Signing in to Google," select 2-Step Verification. Follow the steps to turn on 2-Step Verification.

Step 3.3: Add an app password for Mailivery to your Google account:

After 2-Step Verification has been enabled, please follow the steps below:

  • Go to the App Passwords page in your Google Accounts.
  • Choose “Other (Custom Name)”.
  • Enter Mailivery for the name of app and click the Generate button.

Step 4: Copy your app password code and enter it into the Mailivery App and click “Add Account”.

You have now successfully connected your Gmail / Gsuite / Google Workspace Email Account to Mailivery.
